Procedure Changes

Effective November 26, 2008, the Driver License Division will no longer accept Social Security Number Printouts from the Social Security Administration as verification of your SSN.  However, the Division will accept a Social Security Card, W-2 Form, SSA-1099 Form, Non SSA-1099 Form, and a pay stub with applicant's name and social security number on it.

Motorcycle License Changes

House Bill 72S1 (passed in 2008) repeals all class M licenses as of July 1, 2008.
Also, new restrictions for Motorcycle endorsement permit holders. For more information click here.

Effective July 8, 2008, a new rule will be in place which will require all new motorcycle riders to be restricted to riding a motorcycle based on the cc size of the motorcycle upon which the rider is tested. The following 3 restrictions will be used:

O = 90 cc or less Motorcycle
2 = 249 cc or less Motorcycle
3 = 649 cc or less Motorcycle

If you are tested on a motorcycle 650 cc or greater no restriction will be placed on your license and you will be permitted to ride any size motorcycle.

Brigham City Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Wednesday's of the following dates: August 19, 2009; November 18, 2009

Cedar City Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Thursday, July 30, 2009; Wednesday, October 14, 2009

Dixie Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Wednesday's of the following dates: July 29, 2009; October 7, 2009

Ephraim Office - will close between 8:00 am and 10:00 am on Thursday's of the following dates: July 16, 2009; October 29, 2009

Fairpark Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Tuesday's of the following dates: August 25, 2009; December 15, 2009

Farmington Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Wednesday's of the following dates: September 16, 2009; December 16, 2009

Heber Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Wednesday, August 12, 2009

Logan Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Tuesday's of the following dates: August 18, 2009; November 17, 2009

Moab Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Thursday, August 20, 2009

Ogden Office - will close between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Wednesday's of the following dates: August 26, 2009; November 25, 2009
