NOTE: As of December 21, 2009 the renewal-by-mail and renewal-by-internet will not be an option due to changes in legislation.  Please click here for more information on what will be required to renew your Utah driver license effective January 1, 2010.

To renew your Utah Driver License you have two options until December 21, 2009:

To renew an out-of-state driver license you must appear in one of our licensing offices

WHAT DO I NEED TO RENEW MY UTAH LICENSE IN A LICENSING OFFICE:

WHAT DO I NEED TO RENEW MY OUT-OF-STATE LICENSE IN A LICENSING OFFICE:

When applying for a Utah driver license, your privilege to drive cannot be suspended, revoked, disqualified, or denied in another state. Your out-of-state license must be surrendered upon application for a Utah License.

If your last renewal was by mail or internet, you will need to apply at a Driver License office for your upcoming renewal. This will enable us to issue you a new Driver License with enhanced security features.

NOTE: Those applying for a Commercial Driver License (CDL) should contact a CDL office for Commercial licensing information.

After all requirements for a license have been successfully completed, you will receive a temporary photo license on the same day. The completed license will then be mailed to you in approximately three weeks.
