On 1-8-09 at about 8:00 am Troopers stopped a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero bearing Wisconsin tags on Interstate 70 near milepost 58, which is about one mile east of Salina. The vehicle was stopped for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle was Judyth Santana 42 of Orfordville, WI and the passenger was Sergio Gelacio 40 of Jamesville, WI. During the stop the officer found the subjects travels to be unbelievable and observed several other indicators of illegal activity. Both subjects gave consent to search the vehicle.

The trooper deployed his K-9 Cica on the exterior of the vehicle. Cica indicated to the presence of narcotic odor. A search of the vehicle revealed a manufactured compartment in the rear floor of the vehicle. Inside of the compartment was 21 kilograms of cocaine. The street value of one kilogram of cocaine is anywhere from $100,000 to $150,000. Both occupants were booked into the Sevier Co jail on drug charges
