Drug Bust in Salt Lake County.
On 2-9-09 at about 8:30 pm troopers stopped a 2009 Kia Sedona for an improper signal. The vehicle was traveling eastbound on I-80 around mile post 109 in Salt Lake County. After speaking with the driver, the officer felt that there could be something in the vehicle due to inconsistencies in his story. The driver stated that he was traveling from California to Vermont. The trooper deployed his K-9 which alerted on the vehicle. After searching the vehicle officers found 17 lbs of marijuana, 6 oz of hash, and $1000 cash. The subjects name is Ronnie James Colby DOB 4/74 out of California. The subject was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on drug charges.
