National Cyber Security Month happens each October. Following on the heels of National Preparedness Month, this is a great chance for Utahns to take steps toward protecting their digital information. Each week has a theme to help you increase your security:

The 2014 Utah PIO Association annual conference will be held Sept. 30-Oct 1 at the Courtyard Marriott in St. George.

The Great Utah ShakeOut will be held Thursday, April 16, 2015

On April 17, 2014, we had more than 836,000 participants registered to participate in the largest emergency drill in Utah.

After your drill, you can upload photos, stories or videos to the ShakeOut website by logging into your profile.

 

The ShakeOut may be over for this year, but you can take time to ramp up your preparedness by visiting our BeReadyUtah.gov program

Since 2012, more than 2.5 million Utahns have participated in our annual drop, cover and hold on drill! Thanks to everyone for making this the state's largest earthquake drill ever. Click the image above to visit the ShakeOut website. You can also download your own banners to display on your website, blog or Facebook page from the Resources section of the site.
