On Saturday December 12, 2009, Colonel Fuhr and many Troopers participated in this this year's Shop with a Cop. This year a caravan of cop cars made its way onto I-15 and traveled south to 9000 South, with lights and sirens as they turned west and headed to K-mart in West Jordan, with an assigned child. They arrived just in time to meet Santa as the helicopter made a single pass before landing in the parking lot. Thanks to all the Troopers that participated and made this a successful event.
On December 15, 2009, Colonel Fuhr and many
Troopers attended Primary Children’s Hospital
to visit hospitalized children. The Hospital is
equipped to treat children with complex illness
and injury and is recognized as one of the top
children’s hospitals in the United States. Every
year our Troopers pay a visit and hand out teddy
bears and trinkets. We want to
thank the UHP Public Information and Education group for their efforts in the community. The Utah Highway Patrol is here to serve and be involved in our community.
