UHP Highlights - July 11, 2008
57 Pounds of Marijuana Seized:
Corporal Dave Moreno conducted a traffic stop on I-80 in Salt Lake County. During the course of the traffic stop a vehicle search was conducted. Corporal Moreno located 57 pounds of high grade marijuana.
Baby Born on Freeway:
Corporal Andy Prescott had conducted a traffic enforcement stop on I-80 in Tooele County. Another motorist arrived on scene and advised his wife had gone into labor and would deliver before arriving at the hospital. Trooper Randy Riches arrived to assist. Corporal Prescott and Trooper Riches assisted the expectant mother in delivering a healthy baby boy. Congratulations are in order to all parties involved for managing a very difficult situation.
