UHP Highlights - March 28, 2008
Sand Dunes:
Troopers in Juab County assisted the Juab County Sheriff’s Office and BLM with enforcement efforts at the Little Sahara Sand Dunes over Easter weekend.
Interdiction:
During the last 10 days troopers seized over and ounce of cocaine, $1,452, and four pounds of Marijuana during two different traffic stops.
February Fatal Information:
Preliminary information from the Highway Safety Office reports that there were eight fatal crashes during the month of February. Five of the crashes involved two vehicles; the other three were single vehicle crashes. Three of the victims were wearing seatbelts, four were unrestrained, and one was unknown whether a seatbelt was worn or not. Four of the victims were drivers and four were passengers. The Utah Highway Patrol investigated three of these crashes.
