UHP Highlights - May 16, 2008
Interdiction:
During three different traffic stops troopers seized over $69,000.00, one pound of marijuana, and approximately 177 grams of hash.
Aero Bureau:
On May 5, 2008 the helicopter assisted the Beaver County Sheriff’s Office in a search for a missing man. After a short search the injured man was located in a boulder field. He was picked up and flown to medical help.
On May 10, 2008 the helicopter assisted with the recovery of two individuals involved in a plane crash on a remote strip near Lake Powell. The pilot and passenger of the plane were not injured. The crew was able to locate the plane crash and bring the victims out to safety.
DUI Squad:
During the week of May 5 – 11, 2008 the DUI Squad made eight DUI related arrests and stopped 56 vehicles.
