POST Training Portal Update

Radar/Lidar & Intoxilizer Online Certification Exams

The link to the exam has been removed what's changed?
There is a new testing procedure for taking the Radar/Lidar & Intox Recertification Exams.   We have moved these assessments to the secure training portal resolving several issues such as officers taking the exam when they are not eligible, taking the exam multiple times, or taking the exam under alias name to copy the answers. This new system provides security and accountability of the certification process.

How do I get access to take the Radar/Lidar & Intoxilizer Exams Online?
The procedure now to take the exam is officers send an e-mail to recert@utahpost.org stating their intent to take one of the exams and provide name and agency. Once POST receives the request their portal account is granted access to take the exam in under 60 minuets with only one attempt. (If they do not have a portal access account we create one for them) Upon a successful pass their training record is updated with training hours and their certification is renewed. The officer then has the option to print the certificate from the home page of their account. If the officer is unsuccessful in passing the exam they can petition POST for one retake.

How soon should I see a response to my request?
Requests sent to recert@utahpost.org are entered in our ticket system and right now we are responding to these requests Monday - Friday 0700-1800. We have a 4 hour response time goal to handle the requests between these times..

I got a response stating I am not eligible to take the exam
The largest issue we have encountered is officers requesting recertification and we do not have their last certification recorded. Most officers are having to fax us copies of cards or take camera phone photos of them and e-mail back to get the records updated.

I did not pass the exam what do I do now?
You are allowed two attempts to pass the exam before you will need to take the course in person. If you have failed the exam you will need to email recert@utahpost.org to request a retake.

POST Training Portal

What is the POST Training Portal?
The "POST Training Portal" or "Acadis Portal" is a online system that is directly tied to their training record at POST. The system shows all certification and training history for that officer. Agency Training Coordinators can be given additional rights to view all officers with their agency. The officer can print all certifications issued to them and also view class availability to register online for POST sponsored courses. Training coordinators can request training on behalf of an officer, view officers registration status for a course, or report agency training all online.

How do I get access to the system?
The system is for all active law enforcement or dispatchers who are currently employed by an agency or currently attending a basic training academy. Send an e-mail with your full name and agency to support@utahpost.org.

What is the link to the system?
The link to the portal can be found on the home page of post.utah.gov or linked directly to portal.post.utah.gov

How can I get more information on how to use the system?
To help with the learning curve of the new system click here for a user guide in PDF format.

I requested portal access but have never seen the e-mail with my password.
Check your junk mail folder or spam folder. These automated e-mails tend to be classified as spam. Add post@utah.gov as a trusted address to avoid this.

I need more assistance who can I contact?
