Accident Investigation (Advanced)

Description:

This class is math intensive and may involve homework.  This class is designed for officers who have taken the Intermediate Accident Investigation Class and would like to increase their accident investigation skills as well as a prep class for Accident Reconstruction.  This class is math intensive and should present a challenge to most students as they learn in-depth concepts in the areas of Kinematics, Momentum and Energy to name a few.  Students will need:  Calculator, Pencil, Blank Paper, and Northwestern Template.

April 11-12, 2011 Total Station Class Start Time 9:00 Murray Section Office - April 11-12, 2011   This class is an introduction to the Total Station system.  It will go over diagraming scenes with the equipment with many practical exercises,  It will cover the Crash Zone software use on the computer as well as on the system.  0900 Completed

Aug. 25, 2011 (Math refresher class)

Aug. 29 - Sept. 2, 2011

Training will be hosted by the St. George Police Department and will take place at St. George Police Department's Training Room located at 265 North 200 East. (Math refresher class for this course will be held at St. George P.D. on August 25, 2011 at 0800 hrs.) 0800 Completed
January 23-27, 2012 Advanced Accident Investigation **Math refresher January 20**(highly recommended) Class January 23-27, 2012. Location (for both) UHP Murray Office 9-5 daily. Class size will be limited to 30 students. Required equipment and materials include: Pen and mechanical pencil, scientific calculator, scratch paper, engineer ruler, 2 colored pencils, and graph paper. 0900-1700 Completed
