Active Current flood risk is spring runoff, increasing streamflows, and snowmelt. Some reported flood-related landslides are being monitored.

Region 1
Box Elder County
Active
Potentially impacted infrastructure near Bear River: Old Barn Community Theatre, Bear Hollow Ski Resort community, Garland City Culinary Water Facility, Corinne City Sewer Treatment Plant, and one residence. [LNO Correspondence]
Cache County
Active The Bureau of Reclamation, Utah Division of Water Resources, and Cache County are actively monitoring the Hyrum Dam for potential high-flow releases in the Little Bear River. [Bureau of Reclamation, Interagency Correspondence]
Active Due to the heavy snowpack, the county has also determined that extending the seasonal restrictions on county roads to motorized vehicles is necessary and appropriate until at least May 15th. [Cache County]
Weber County
Update The Bureau of Reclamation is actively monitoring the Causey Reservoir, overflow into the spillway began during the morning of 5/4/23 and is ongoing.  [Bureau of Reclamation, LNO Correspondence]
Region 2
Salt Lake County
Active Sugar House Park will be closed to vehicles through at least May 14th as controlled releases from Mountain Dell and Little Dell Reservoirs continue. [SLCo Parks & Recreation Twitter]
Active SR-190 and SR-210 are being monitored and assessed daily to determine if/when road closures are needed for land/mudslides, avalanches, or other hazards. Closures are possible at any time, be prepared & check the road status. [UDOT Cottonwood Canyons]
Utah County
Active Nightly closures of SR-89 at MP 311 are expected. [UDOT]
Region 3 No significant updates to report at this time.
Region 4 –
New All counties are reporting lower flow levels in creeks and rivers. [LNO Correspondence]
Garfield County
Active Old Town Hatch – Structures threatened. The river banks are eroding quickly due to the water taking out the trees that hold the banks. [LNO Correspondence]
Active Road closure at John’s Valley Road thru Black Canyon south of Antimony due to flooding. [LNO Correspondence]
Washington County
Update IRONMAN Planned Event – The event was successful, and the DEM Mobile Command Vehicle and Communications Van are returning to Salt Lake City this morning. [LNO Correspondence]
Region 5
Uintah County
Active Green River in Jensen is anticipated to reach peak flood stage this weekend. [LNO Correspondence]
Region 6/7
Carbon County
Active Some concern with Clear Creek flowing into the Scofield Reservoir. The local emergency manager will assess at the beginning of next week. [LNO Correspondence]
Grand County
Active Water is flowing over the roadway at Stocks Drive. [LNO Correspondence]
Active Water is flowing over the low water crossing at Sunny Acres. [LNO Correspondence]
San Juan County
Active Shares concerns with Sunny Acres, crews are working on mitigation efforts. [LNO Correspondence]
Tribal Nations No significant updates to report at this time.
